Thanks Karen for you help to activate my Medicare card. You are best in your service to help people out when They are not able to help themselves. Also there is security staff named isma from Albania, she is very polite and friendly with all customers.

I found the staff to be very helpful. They work hard to help me though a challenging time and, even though I left empty handed, I felt that they at least tried to help.

People dawn on these places in times of hardship and it's often easy to forget that, behind the acrylic screen, there's another human being that doesn't deserve to be abused just because you're in hardship.

Thank you, Amany. I know you tried to help and I really appreciate it.

Quite a degrading experience. The automatic doors are controlled by a security guard who forces you to stand behind a white line until you answer his riddles three. Once you are cleared, you are allowed to take two steps inside before you are required to sanitise your hands and check into the QR system. You are then told to stand on the green dots which form a socially distanced queue to the main counter.

Once you reach the main counter, you are asked the same three questions as posed by the security guard. You are also required to show proof you checked into the QR system. Then you get to interact with the reception staff. These staff are extremely dismissive of anyone who they sense will take up too much of their time. I was actually asked to provide my phone number so someone from Centrelink could call me rather than handing the piece of paper over to the reception staff. It is just all so weird and unnecessarily cruel.

A similar process happens on the way out. The automatic doors are controlled by the security guard so there is no leaving unless he approves it. I do not know how to comment on the staff. Yes, it would be a difficult job and some people at Centrelink are troublemakers. However, the system in place which treats people like garbage must be contributing to their behaviour. It would be nice if these services could be improved so they actually helped people rather than punished them for being poor.

Very rude staff at front desk. Had never been to a Centrelink before and just wanted to ask a simple general question that wasn’t about me in particular but before I’d even asked the whole question she interrupted 3 times to ask me times if I had an appointment. I said I didn’t and she said she would not speak to me then. I tried to explain and she just kept talking over me and telling me to make an appointment or leave

I am a youth worker for Anglicare WA and i attended Centrelink Osbourne Park for the first time yesterday in support of a young family who were having issues with both of their incomes. We were seen by 2 separate staff members who were both fantastic however i wanted to specifically write a review for Darren.
Darren provided the most welcoming, genuine, caring, knowledgeable, person centred and strengths based service I have seen from any government department.
All issues were resolved with ease and Darren went above and beyond to solve them. It was such a great experience to receive this level of customer service when entering, what can be at times, a difficult organisation to work alongside and understand processes...So, thank you, Darren- your work and effort is very much appreciated.
    Michelle.
